2016 standout Javin DeLaurier is down to six schools, he tells Scout.
The Charlottesville (Va.) St. Anne's-Belfield product said he's down to Arizona, Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Stanford and Texas.
This past weekend, DeLaurier, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward, took his first scheduled official visit to Notre Dame.
"It was great," DeLaurier said of the visit. "I really enjoyed meeting the guys and talking with the coaches and just experiencing everything there."
Next up for DeLaurier is an official Texas this coming weekend. DeLaurier had scheduled a visit to Stanford for October 3rd, but he opted to move that back to the 10th. He's also scheduled to take an official visit to Duke the weekend of October 24th.
Prospects are allowed five official visits, so DeLaurier would have one visit remaining.
In-home visits have also been scheduled for Duke (Sept. 14th), Stanford (Sept. 15th) and Arizona (Sept. 16th). DeLaurier also said he's tentatively scheduled an in-home visit with North Carolina for the 23rd of September.
DeLaurier is regarded as Scout's No. 9 power forward and No. 40 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting class.
