When Jeriah Horne set up his first round of fall visits, he scheduled trips to Kansas State, Iowa State and Nebraska. But upon further reflection, he switched the ISU visit date for DePaul, which he’ll visit this weekend.
The Blue Demons already had been a presence on Horne’s list — which also includes the Wildcats, Cornhuskers, Pepperdine and Wichita State — but now they have locked in an opportunity to bring him to Chicago and demonstrate how they believe he could slot into their program.
Horne traveled to Manhattan last weekend and will visit Nebraska the weekend of Sept. 26. As for his time at KSU, he emerged with a very positive impression of the program and university.
”It was great, I enjoyed my time there,” Horne said. “I hung out with the players, ate at the coaches’ house, went to the pep rally, went to the football game, and met with the president, vice president, AD (athletic director) and academic supporters.”
Horne has maintained all along that he’d like to decide this fall, and thus DePaul gets a shot in September rather than an uncertain date to be determined later. He visited Pepperdine previously and thus he now has accounted for four of his five potential officials, and obviously he could drive to Wichita for an official or an unofficial, should he so desire.
