Donnie Jones and his staff at Central Florida picked up a commitment from 2016 wing prospect Clayton Hughes on Thursday.
The Jackson (Tenn.) Universitiy School of Jackson standout informed Scout of his decision.
"I felt like UCF was a place that I could see myself at and see myself maturing as a player and man while under a great coaching staff and great teammates and also have a great college experience," Hughes said.
Hughes, who took his official visit to UCF this past weekend, said he also strongly considered William & Mary.
Hughes is the first verbal pledge of UCF's 2016 recruiting class.
