Three remaining official visits are being finalized for Jaylen Fisher

Four-star point guard Jaylen Fisher has some big time interest to sort through on the recruiting trail, and is beginning to finalize his remaining official visits.

Four-star point guard Jaylen Fisher keeps moving ahead in his college decision. The tough and athletic floor general has made two official visits already, and three more are close to being set as Fisher hopes to make a commitment in the fall.

This past weekend Fisher made the trip to Sin City to check out UNLV, and according to Team Thad AAU Coach Norton Hurd the Rebels present an excellent opportunity for Fisher going forward.

“UNLV has been recruiting him for a while, and Coach Ryan Miller has been recruiting this area for a long time,” said Hurd. “They have been around and they really want a big time point guard. They feel they have everything but a big time point guard. They think they have all the pieces and just need that, so Jaylen really likes the opportunity that they have at UNLV.”

Prior to that Fisher made an official visit to Arkansas to check in on the Razorbacks, and Hurd says that things went very well for Fisher in Fayetteville.

“He was very impressed by the visit and really liked it,” said Hurd. “Anybody who has ever dealt with Coach Anderson knows he is a great guy and a really family oriented guy. Jaylen and his parents liked Coach Anderson, they like the style of play at Arkansas, and it isn’t too far from home, so he enjoyed the visit.”

With those two visits in the rearview, the next two official visits will be Memphis and Indiana respectively. Josh Pastner already made an in-home visit with Fisher on the first day allowed, and on Thursday Tom Crean makes his way to Memphis to go in-home with Fisher as well.

About Memphis, Hurd said, “Memphis has been on Jaylen a long time. He would be one of the most highly rated point guards to go there since Joe Jackson. Also Jaylen would be a hometown hero and his parents could go to every game, and maybe help bring Memphis basketball back to where everybody in Memphis wants it.”

When it comes to Indiana, Hurd explained, “Indiana is like the blue blood school on his list, and I think Tom Crean is a really good coach. Also they have good development at Indiana, and Jaylen really likes that.”

In terms of his fifth visit, Baylor is likely to receive the fifth and final official, though dates are still all being finalized for Fisher’s remaining trips.
