When the Wisconsin Badgers want an in-state prospect usually they are pretty successful in getting him. That proved to be the case once again on Wednesday evening when Kobe King picked the school. King, who had a tremendous spring, earned an offer in July, and he just felt that Wisconsin was the best place for him.
"I just like everything about Wisconsin," said King. "I love it down there and I knew that is where I wanted to be."
King from the beginning has said he isn't concerned with the future of Bo Ryan, and states that he has a tremendous relationship with assistant coach Greg Gard who recruited him. King chose the Badgers over Iowa State, Marquette, and a host of other programs that were interested in him.
Look for King to really make an impact going forward. He is a very gifted scorer who is a solid athlete that knows how to play. He has the ability to be one of the more consistent and reliable scoring guards in the class of 2017.
