Four-star PF Romello White commits to Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech added a significant pledge on Saturday night, as top 100 power forward Romello White committed to Georgia Tech.

2016 power forward Romello White verbally committed to Georgia Tech on Saturday, he tells Scout.

"First off it's home and then they are in the ACC, so that's big," White told Scout. "I have a good opportunity to go there and start and get exposure," White siad.

"I felt like I should stay home because I have the most support here," he added. "I have my family here."

White, who checks in at 6-foot-8, 220-pounds, told Scout he also considered Mississippi, Auburn, South Carolina, Iowa State, Auburn and Virginia. Georgia Tech is the only school he officially visited.

"I think I can be a big piece because they already have good guards and wings," White said. "They are going to be missing some bigs, so I'm coming for that spot."

White, a four-star prospect, is ranked No. 83 overall in the 2016 recruiting class.

Georgia Tech now has a pair of commitments in 2016. White joins three-star wing prospect Christian Matthews to make up Brian Gregory's current class.
