"I feel like I'm making a the right decision for myself on and off the court," McGriff said.

McGriff, a standout at Grand Prairie (Tex.) South, had a wide range of college interest, especially from schools in the South and Midlands area. He took an official visit to Arkansas the first weekend of September. He also visited Oklahoma State.

McGriff, who ranks as the No. 30 power forward in the 2016 class, is a tough, physical and hard playing prospect. He's active, runs the floor and rebounds in and out of his area well.

Through 12 games on the adidas Uprising circuti with Urban DFW, McGriff averaged 9.5 points and 6.2 rebounds a game.

This is Ford's second pledge in as many days. Thomas Dziagwa, a shooter from Florida, committed to Oklahoma State on Sunday.
