Three-star power forward Jeriah Horne is beginning to wind down the recruiting process. The KC Run GMC product had a very productive summer, and on the recruiting trail has been making visits with one more set to come.
“It was a good summer,” said Horne. “I had fun playing with my teammates and playing against the best competition from all over the country, and I think I played as hard as I could.”
Most recently Horne tripped to DePaul, and he came away impressed with the Blue Demons.
“It was different being in Chicago, but I had a really good time with the players and the coaches,” said Horne.
He continued, “I have been in close contact with the coaching staff ever since the beginning of the second half of the AAU season. They see me fitting in all over because I am versatile and can play both the three and the four and just be a mismatch problem in their system.”
Previous to DePaul, Horne made a visit to Kansas State and also liked what he saw.
“Being Manhattan was very different than Chicago,” noted Horne. “I enjoyed my time there a lot. They also see me as a versatile player who can play either forward position, and then I liked the coaches and players.”
Up next for Horne is a trip to Nebraska where he will see what Tim Miles and his staff have to offer.
“I will be taking my next official visit to Nebraska,” said Horne. “I am looking forward to getting out there and just seeing the chemistry I have with the coaches and the players, and also check on the academic support and things like that.”
When it comes to a decision, Horne says it won’t take much longer, “I will make my decision in October after the Nebraska visit.”
