Clevon Brown is leaving the state and headed to Vanderbilt

Four-star power forward Clevon Brown has made his pick and is headed to the SEC

The Vanderbilt Commodores did their due dilligence and got involved early with four-star power forward Clevon Brown. The academically inclined kid from the state of Texas really emerged this summer at the Great American Shootout, and since then he has been a priority high-major prospect for many schools.

After narrowing things down to Texas and Vanderbilt, Brown made the decision on Tuesday to pick the Commodores.

"Yes sir I am committed to Vanderbilt," Brown informed

Brown continued, "I just felt really comfortable there on my visit and really got along with the players and coaches."

At the Great American Shootout,'s Evan Daniels saw him and gave this evaluation.

"The breakout performer of the Great American Shootout is an easy choice," noted Daniels. "The truth is heading into the event, wasn’t familiar with Clevon Brown. Brown is a very good athlete that runs the floor, contests shots and has some tools on the offensive end of the floor."

This is a huge pledge for Vanderbilt. Brown is the second commitment for the school joining three-star guard Payton Willis
