Timmy Allen picking up offers

Timmy Allen had impressive showings with the Compton Magic in July and at the Fullcourt Press All West Frosh/Soph Camp. The 2018 prospect discusses his recruitment.

One of the top 2018 wings on the West Coast is Timmy Allen, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound small forward from Mesa (Ariz.) Desert Ridge.

Allen’s long arms, versatility and instincts make him a player with a high upside, especially if he keeps growing; he says he’s grown four inches over the last year.

“I’m an all around player. I try to get my teammates involved but I can score,” Allen said. “My pull-up has improved. I’m still working on my left hand and ball-handling.”

Allen holds offers from Nebraska, Grand Canyon, Portland State and New Mexico State, with schools such as Arizona State, UCLA and Arizona showing interest.

“UCLA, Arizona and ASU are supposed to come by the school,” Allen said. “I’m looking forward to them coming by. I’m going to visit ASU soon.”

Allen is more focused on his game than his recruitment.

“I just need to keep getting better every day,” Allen said.
