Missouri lands a pledge from Minnesota center Reed Nikko

One of the nation’s better undecided centers is off the board. Reed Nikko announced on Monday evening that he had committed to Missouri.

The Missouri Tigers added their third senior commitment tonight when Reed Nikko announced his decision via Twitter.

A 6-9, 235-pound center from Maple Grove (Minn.), Nikko also had drawn serious interest from Minnesota, Iowa and others.

”Couldn’t be happier to announce that I’m committed to The University of Missouri for basketball,” Nikko wrote.

Nikko is a developing big man who posted modest offensive stats for Net Gain Sports on the Under Armour circuit, but he possesses a nice stroke and blocked nearly two shots per game.

He needs to gain strength and add scoring polish, but his mobility is impressive and the Tigers will work with him to become a more complete performer over his four seasons in Columbia.

Missouri how holds pledges from Nikko, power forward Mitchell Smith and swingman Willie Jackson.
