Jaedon Ledee showed up to the USA 16u Trials in Colorado Springs in May and helped solidify his status as one of 2018’s top prospects, albeit early in the evaluation process.
This past weekend at the Junior National Team Minicamp, the 6-foot-7, 205-pound 2018 small forward from Houston Kinkaid took another step forward in his development.
“Last time I remember that I hesitated at first because it was overwhelming, but this time I came out and played my game,” Ledee said.
“I’ve gotten taller and stronger, more athletic and my shot has become more consistent. I hit midrange jumpers and handle well. I don’t think I do anything great but everything pretty good.”
“Texas is the biggest one right now,” Ledee said. “I like that it’s a family feel. It doesn’t matter the game, whether they’re winning or losing, it’s like a family and everyone stays.”
At this stage in his recruiting process, Ledee says that two schools stand out.
“I like Kentucky and Arizona,” he said. “I like the style of play at Kentucky; how coach (John) Calipari gets out and runs and same with Arizona. I’ve always watched how Arizona gets up and down.”
