Schools from all over the country have been at New Albany High School this fall to check in with four-star class of 2018 guard Romeo Langford. The supremely talented Langford is one of the top players in the class, and he is working hard to improve his game while also adding offers from big time colleges.
"I have been working hard on my ball handling," said Langford. "It allows me to have the ball in my hands more and create for myself and others, so I am focused on that a lot."
With his improvement, and a lot of returning talent, Langford has high expectations for his team this season.
"My hopes are to go as far as we can in the tournament this year," noted Langford. We are working hard every single day to get as far as we can and win state.
For the understated Langford the recruiting process isn't a major focus right now, but coaches from UCLA, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State, Purdue, Butler, and many others have been by to see him.
"It is exciting to know that my hard work is paying off," said Langford of the attnetion. "I am not too focused on that now, but it is good to know that coaches like my game."
The latest school to offer Langford is Indiana. The Hoosiers made the offer after seeing him play in open gym.
About the Indiana offer, Langford said, "I know they are one of the best programs around. I am just thankful to get an offer from them and it is something that meant a lot to me."
At this point Langford says there is absolutely no timeframe for a decision, and he doesn't even know what style of play he is looking for in a school. Still with his talent level as well as checking all the boxes off the court, expect big time interest to keep coming in for Langford.
