Three-star guard Frankie Hughes made his decision at his school on Tuesday afternoon. The highly athletic scoring guard made the decision to head to the ACC and he picked the Louisville Cardinals.
Louisville entered the sweepstakes for Hughes late in the process, but a weekend visit in which an offer was extended is all the Cardinals needed to beat out Wisconsin and St. Joseph’s for Hughes’ pledge.
Hughes, who goes to the same high school as current Cardinal Trey Lewis, brings a combination of athleticism and shot making into the equation. He has the requisite size to play either guard position and also be a factor on the defensive end.
This is the second commitment for Louisville. Hughes joins five-star wing V.J. King in the Cardinals 2016 class.
