Michigan lands their first 2017 pledge in Jordan Poole

Michigan got on the board early in the 2017 class landing shooting guard Jordan Poole.

The Michigan Wolverines haven't put out many offers in the class of 2017, but they now have one commitment. Their first offer went out to Jordan Poole and now that has turned in to their first commitment as he picked the school on Friday.

Poole selected Michigan over Illinois and Marquette. He recently visited all three programs, but on a second unofficial visit to Michigan last weekend he knew what was in his future, and set his announcement to make his commitment.

This is a big get for Michigan as Poole was the first piece of what the Wolverines hope is an impressive class of 2017. From here Michigan could go with another wing or even another big, though they have some roster flexibility given the versatility already in Ann Arbor.

Poole is an excellent start for John Beilein and company, and was one of their priority targets to land in the class, and they feel he is someone who fits into their system perfectly.
