Nik Popovic commits to Boston College

Boston College picked up 2016 forward Nik Popovic.

2016 power forward Nik Popovic verbally committed to Jim Christian and Boston College on Wednesday, Weston (Fla.) Sagemont coach Adam Ross told Scout.

"Boston College provided Nik the opportunity he was searching for," Ross said. "High Academics, young and talented guards and a coaching staff that has been successful in developing skillful post players. The exposure and opportunity that comes with playing in a league like the ACC is exceptional."

Popovic, a 6-foot-10, 230-pounder, also had significant interest from Georgia, Providence, Central Florida, Richmond and Rice.

What is Boston College getting in Popovic?

"Highly skilled four-man with great hands," Ross said. "He shoots it great, passes and dribbles well."

With the addition of Popovic, Boston College now has a trio of pledges in their 2016 class. Popovic joins three-star guard Ty Graves and Mike Sagay to make up their current group.
