One of the lesser known prospects in the 2017 class on the West Coast is Justice Sueing. Sueing recently moved to Los Angeles from Hawaii, and at the Chicago Elite Classic he made an impression in Mater Dei’s commanding win over Marian Catholic.
“The start to the season has been good,” said Sueing. “We have been working hard since November, and we are prepared and ready to win.”
At around 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds, Sueing is someone who looks to have a lot of versatility, and he is working to be a more complete player.
“I am working on everything,” said Sueing. “I came here from Hawaii to make sure I had a well-shaped game all around. I want to be ready for any opponent and want to do anything I can to help my team.”
About his development at Mater Dei, Sueing said, “Nothing is given here. I was the top kid in Hawaii, but I came here and they made me work hard and I am becoming a better player.”
On the recruiting trail things are just now beginning for Sueing, but already a few schools from the Pac 12 have been in to see him.
“I’ve been kind of under the radar but I have gotten some stuff from Washington State, Oregon State, and some other Pac 12 schools,” said Sueing.
This is a big season for Sueing as he is on the Mainland and will get a lot of eyes on his game, and so far he is off to a good start and looks like someone who should pull in numerous high-major offers.
