One player really looking to emerge this season is wing Eddie Scott. A long and athletic wing at Gonzaga, Scott is playing a big role on this year’s team after being a role player last year. At the Chicago Elite Classic Scott proved he is beginning to step up his game and make the strides necessary to be a high level prospect.
“Individually I think I have been playing pretty well to start the season,” noted Scott. “I have been working on being a playmaker and hitting open shots on offense, and then also I have been working on talking on defense.”
On the recruiting trail Scott is beginning to get more and more interest, and already has a handful of offers to his name.
“A lot of schools have been in to see me. Ivy League schools like Princeton and Penn, and then also George Washington, Maryland, and some others,” said Scott. “I have offers from George Mason, James Madison, Rice, and Hofstra.”
At the moment Scott is taking a measured approach to his recruitment, and is looking at all aspects of the schools recruiting him.
“Academics are going to be huge for me,” said Scott. “I am looking to major in finance or business. Also I want to go to a school with a strong basketball program.”
