2018 Arizona SF Tevian Jones receiving early recruiting attention

MESA, Ariz. - Tevian Jones is a 2018 forward with a high upside from Arizona, here's an intro to his game and recruitment.

One of the state of Arizona’s most highly recruited prospects in recent years was 2013 Basha center Torren Jones, who signed with Missouri and ended up at Fresno State, where he’s now a starter for the Bulldogs.

Torren has a little brother with a high upside in Tevian Jones, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound 2018 wing from Chandler (Ariz.).

While Torren was highly recruited early, Tevian has flown a bit under the radar being on the young side of his class, but he’s grown a few inches over the last year and his athleticism, ability to hit shots, rebound and slash give him upside.

“I do a good job shooting and crashing the boards,” Tevian said. “I’m working on my defense; I want to be quicker.”

Tevian says that Boise State, BYU, Hawaii and Montana are showing him early interest.

“I want a school that is going to give me the best chance on and off the court with athletics and academics,” he said.
