Class of 2018 prospect Damezi Anderson has special talent

The sky is the limit for class of 2018 prospect Damezi Anderson who is having a very good sophomore season.

The class of 2018 in the state of Indiana is really starting to pick up steam, and one of the most talented of the bunch is Damezi Anderson. The versatile wing from South Bend is really taking his game to a new level, and has people very excited about his upside.

So far Anderson and his high school teammates are off to a very good start to the season, and Anderson is a big part of that.

“I’m playing very good,” said Anderson. “We have done a good job of playing together at the start of the season, hustling, getting rebounds, and just getting wins.”

He continued, “I have been working on getting shots up and also on rebounding and defending. Also I have been trying to improve my game off the dribble.”

Even with his elite talent level, Anderson says that his recruitment is off to a bit of a slow start compared to some other members of the talented 2018 class.

“I haven’t heard about new schools,” said Anderson. “I know Purdue likes me and I have been to Indiana to visit.”

When it comes to Purdue, Anderson said, “I don’t know a ton about Purdue, but I have been on campus and the coach seems cool. Also the guys seem nice, and Mr. Basketball last year went there in Caleb Swanigan, so that is good.”

About the Hoosiers, Anderson remarked, “It was a really nice campus. I like going there, it is a nice campus and I am getting to know more about them.”

It is just at the beginning of the recruiting process for Anderson, but he and his family are going to take a long look at all of the schools that end up offering.

“I just want to see how they can make their players bigger, stronger, and faster, and how I would fit in at each school,” noted Anderson.

Anderson is someone with a ton of upside, and could be a player who emerges on the 2018 radar in a big way as we get to the spring.
