There has been buzz building in the Nation’s Capital around the play of 2018 wing Kiyon Boyd. At the DMV Tip-Off Classic Boyd showed a significant amount of talent, and made some key plays in helping his team to a win.
“It has been good so far,” said Boyd. “As a team we are in synch, we are playing well as a team, and we are all stepping up when things get tough.”
He continued, “I am working on being better all around. I want to be able to run some point, so I have been working on my passing ability and just being a leader who runs the team.”
On the recruiting trail a few schools have taken early notice of Boyd and are in the mix in his recruitment.
“Xavier is really interested, Louisiana Tech, and I have offers from Towson, Hofstra, and Bowling Green,” noted Boyd.
About the interest coming in from the Musketeers, Boyd said, “It is a really good program. They are doing extremely well this year. It is only an hour flight to Ohio, so it is easy access and I really like Coach (Mike) Pegues who is recruiting me.”
At the moment things are still very early for Boyd recruiting wise, and he is waiting to see who is seriously interested, but he does know what one overriding factor will help him with his decision.
“I am looking for a place that is a family environment,” noted Boyd.
