One of the class of 2017's top power forwards, Billy Preston recently narrowed down a long list of scholarship offers to 13.
It's early into Preston's recruiting process, as he says all 13 programs are even.
"Those 13 schools are serious about me, that's why I cut it down to those 13," Preston said.
One of the schools which has been recruiting Preston the longest is from his hometown of Los Angeles in USC.
"USC is definitely a great school," Preston said. "Coach (Andy) Enfield, coach (Jason) Hart and coach (Tony) Bland, I'm real close with all of them. I've been watching their season and they're getting wins."
Preston recently unofficially visited Arizona, another program that has been on him for a while.
"I talk to coach (Sean) Miller and coach Book (Richardson)," Preston said. "I've seen the recent players who have been through there and I like it a lot."
There currently aren't any visits on Preston's schedule but he would like to take a trip to Lexington.
"I'd like to visit Kentucky," he said. "That's a great program and coach (John) Calipari is a great coach. The team is always good; especially the recruiting class they have coming in."
Don't expect Preston to get his recruitment over with in the near future.
"Probably my senior year," Preston gave as a timetable. "No time soon."
