Jaylen Butz is attracting more recruiting interest

More schools are checking in on class of 2017 post Jaylen Butz.

Class of 2017 interior prospect Jaylen Butz has made strides this season. The junior is scoring it better than he has in the past, and with legit size and length, more schools are taking a look at him.

“I think we have been playing pretty well,” said Butz. “We have taken a loss, but we are getting it together and things are going well for us.”

He continued, “I have been working on finishing around the rim, being stronger down low, and rebounding.”

Recruiting wise a lot of schools are in the mix for Butz who is beginning to pull in offers.

“I have five offers and Pittsburgh could be offering me soon,” noted Butz. “I have a lot of interested schools. The offers are from Ball State, Kent State, Indiana State, IUPUI, and Cleveland State.”

At this point Butz intends to play out the spring and summer with Spiece Indy Heat on the AAU circuit and see who all comes in and offers. From there he has a good idea of what he is looking for in a school.

“I am looking for somewhere where I can fit in and play as a freshman,” said Butz. “Also somewhere that isn’t too far from home.”
