Keion Brooks has opened up significant eyes as a freshman

Only in the class of 2019, Keion Brooks has opened up eyes with his play and has high-major attention.

Buzz has been building all season around freshman Keion Brooks. The sensation from Ft. Wayne has put on a show all year long, and now has the eye of some of the most high profile schools in the region.

“It has been what I expected,” said Brooks of his freshman season. “Teams are playing hard against me and it is a lot more physical and athletic. I knew it would be like this from practicing with the team last year. I came in with a sense of what to expect.”

At around 6-foot-7 with good athleticism and a versatile skill set, Brooks can do a bit of everything on the court, and he is working hard to get better.

“I have been working on my jumper and being more versatile,” noted Brooks. “I just want to be an all-around basketball player.”

When it comes to recruiting, Brooks says some of the top schools around are showing him major interest.

“A lot of schools from the Big Ten are showing a lot of interest,” noted Brooks. “Mainly Michigan State, they say they want me to come to campus and it is good to hear from them.”

About hearing from the top schools at an early age, Brooks said, “Since I was young I have always wanted to play college basketball and it is a dream come true to hear from teams like this.”

For now things are just getting going on the recruiting trail for Brooks and he is open to all suitors.
