Four-star point guard Quade Green has major college interest

Four-star point guard Quade Green continues to impress with his play and pull in significant college interest.

Four-star point guard Quade Green is no doubt going to have his pick of schools before it is all said and done. Though he lacks ideal size, Green is a high level scorer who is a very good quick twitch athlete. Now as a junior he is looking to become and even more well-rounded and complete player.

“I am focused on getting to the rim more and also working on my ability to shoot pullups and be more than just a three point shooter,” said Green.

On the recruiting trail a lot of schools have been in to see Green already this year, and he has a long list of programs working to get in the mix.

“Syracuse, Villanova, Louisville, Missouri, Seton Hall, SMU, Temple, Miami, and a lot of schools are talking to me,” said Green.

Traditionally the Syracuse Orange have had a ton of success in the Philadelphia area, and they are again working hard there, this time to get Green.

“They do a great job with Philly kids. All of their kids seem to come in and play and do well, and then after they graduate they all do well outside of basketball as well, so it is a good situation,” said Green of Syracuse.

Also close to home is Villanova. The Wildcats under Jay Wright have been known for their strong guard play, and they feel Green could come right in and play in their system.

“I’m talking to them a lot,” said Green of the Wildcats. “They say the same thing, they say I can come in and play and I’d have to work for everything. They also have a good coaching staff that does a good job of developing guards.”

Another school working hard to get in the mix is Louisville, and the Cardinals intense style of play appeals to Green.

“They play defense and I like that,” he explained of Louisville. “They guard you 94 feet and they play fast which I like.”

For now Green is focused on continuing to improve, though he continues to monitor what has become a very busy recruitment.
