Four-star shooting guard Myles Cale doesn’t always play on a big stage, but he had that chance this week at the Slam Dunk to the Beach event. Cale made the most of his opportunity and has three schools recruiting him the hardest.
“I think we are coming together as a team,” said Cale. “At the beginning of the year we were shaky, but now I think we have come together as a team.”
He continued, “I’ve been working on being consistent with my shot and also posting up smaller defenders.”
With good size and athleticism, Cale also has a solid ability to make shots and get to the rim. That combination has several schools making him a priority.
“I am hearing the most from LaSalle, Seton Hall, and Xavier,” said Cale. “Also I am hearing some from Miami.”
Already Cale has made an unofficial visit to Xavier, and he says the Musketeers are making it clear he is a priority recruit in the class.
“They are saying I am one of their top guard targets in 2017,” said Cale of Xavier. “They say they want me for my athleticism and my humbleness and just how I play.”
Also Seton Hall is making Cale a priority, and he likes what he has been hearing from the school.
“I like Seton Hall because it is close to home,” said Cale. “Also they like my work ethic and how I am coachable and things like that.”
In terms of any upcoming visits, Cale said, “I might go to the Xavier and Villanova game on December 31, but that is all I know of right now.”
