The state of Ohio always seems to have someone emerge late in the process, and in the class of 2016 it is Maishe Dailey. Dailey began to emerge during July, and now in the middle of a solid senior campaign, he is picking up high-major offers.
“The season is coming along well,” said Dailey. “We are 8-1 and we have been playing well and got some big wins. We just have to make sure we keep putting things together for all four quarters.”
He continued, “Individually I have been working on my ball handling and shooting mostly.”
On the recruiting trail Dailey has seen his stock increase after getting mostly low and mid-major interest through July. Now high-major programs are extending offers.
“As of now I am undecided on doing a prep year, but I think I am going to stay in 2016 and make my decision in the spring,” said Dailey.
He went on, “I just got offered by Rutgers and some other Big Ten schools. Maryland came (Sunday) to see me, so more schools are coming in.”
The Rutgers offer now means that the Scarlet Knights are going to get a quick visit from Dailey.
“I am visiting Rutgers on the 9th and 10th,” said Dailey of his upcoming official. “I am looking for a good environment and just kind of the love from the team and coaches.”
While Dailey is making an official to Rutgers next weekend, he says not to expect any kind of decision on his future until the spring.
“Right now I am focusing on the season so I can leave the recruiting process and the college decision until after the year,” said Dailey. “I just think that is what is best for me as a senior.”
