J.J. Smith commits to Mississippi

Three-star wing J.J. Smith committed to Ole Miss on Saturday.

2017 wing J.J. Smith verbally committed to Andy Kennedy and Mississippi on Saturday, a source told Scout.

Smith, a standout at Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook, is a 6-foot-4, 195-pound wing. An aggressive scorer, Smith is a hard-playing, athletic slasher.

During the spring and summer, Smith averaged 11.2 points and four rebounds playing for the Southern Stampede on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Smith, who ranks as the No. 25 shooting guard, is Ole Miss' first verbal pledge of the 2017 recruiting class.
