2018 guard Rechon Black will make an early college decision, his father Rechon Black Sr. told Scout.
"The biggest thing is a lot of kids look for all the attention and they want to put on the hat and do all this stuff, he's just not that type of kid," the elder Black said. "His biggest thing is there are so many good schools and good people out there, and unfortunately you can only choose one."
North Carolina has had Black on campus multiple times and was the first prospect in the 2018 class to receive a schlarship offer from Roy Williams. Black took unofficial visits to his three other finalists, as well.
Black Sr. said his son went back and forth before coming up with his decision "a week ago."
Black is currently regarded as the No. 6 shooting guard in the 2018 class.
