Five-star Washington signee, Markelle Fultz, has strong showing at Hoop Hall

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Five-star guard Markelle Fultz showcased his impressive talent on a big state at the Hoop Hall Classic on Monday in a win over St. Louis (Mo.) Chaminade.

Washington signee Markelle Fultz had his full game on display at the Hoop Hall Classic.

Although Fultz missed some close range shtos that normally go down, he fought through it and was a primary reason Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic was able to secure a victory against Jayson Tatum and St. Louis (Mo.) Chaminade.

Fultz, a 6-foot-5 combination guard, is a tremendous athlete and not just from a leaping standpoint. He’s very fluid and has a unique and impressive ability to change speeds extremely well.

His versatility also stands out, as he’s equally effective with the ball in his hands as a distributor or as a lethal scorer. Against Chaminade, Fultz couldn’t get threes to fall, so he attacked the basket and finished at the rim with floaters or adjusting finishes.

Fultz finished 9-for-21 from the field, while tossing out five assists, grabbing five rebounds and recording three steals.
