Source: Vitaliy Shibel commits to Arizona State

Arizona State added their third pledge of the 2016 recruiting class on Tuesday. Vitality Shibel picked Bobby Hurley and ASU.

2016 Lee (Maine) Academy forward Vitaliy Shibel verbally committed to Bobby Hurley and Arizona State, a source told Scout.

Shibel picked Arizona State over interest from the likes of Boston College, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and a host of other schools.

Shibel played for Ukraine in the U18 European Championships over the summer. Through eight games in the event, Shibel averaged 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds, while also connecting on 7 of his 13 three-point attempts.

Arizona State now has a trio of commitments in their 2016 recruiting class. Shibel joins four-star prospects Jethro Tshisumpa, who ranks No. 75 overall, and Sam Cunliffe, Scout’s No. 81 prospect, to make up their current recruiting class.
