One of the major surprises of this high school season has been class of 2016 unsigned wing Jordan Bowden. Running with 22 Ft Academy, Bowden has emerged as a high-major player, and now is seeing his recruitment soar.
“I have been preparing a lot,” said Bowden of the season. “I am staying in the gym, getting shots up, and just working on my game before practice and after practice.”
Lately his recruitment has really picked up with calls, and recently his first high-major offer came through.
“Utah offered recently, and I have been hearing from Minnesota, Marquette, Florida, Tennessee, ETSU, EKU, Kennesaw State, and Duquesne,” said Bowden.
About the uptick in his recruitment, Bowden said, “Things have been picking up, but I am staying focus on our team and just improving my game.”
So far Utah is he only high-major program to offer Bowden a scholarship, and he likes what he has seen so far from the Utes.
“It was big to get that offer,” noted Bowden of Utah. “They got a big win over Oregon State and I like them a lot so far.”
When it comes to any upcoming visits, Bowden said, “I haven’t set any visits yet, but I will be setting one up with Utah in a few weeks.”
At this point Bowden is still at the beginning stages of his recruitment, but he does know what he is looking for in a program.
“I am just looking for a place where I have a good relationship with the coach and somewhere that I am comfortable so I can become the best player I can be,” said Bowden.
