Will Wade, VCU adds to future backcourt

Will Wade and VCU picked up a strong addition to their 2016 recruiting class on Thursday.

Will Wade added another strong piece to his future backcourt.

On Thursday, 2016 prospect Malik Crowfield verbally committed to Wade and VCU, according to New Orleans Elite coach Gregg Holmes.

Crowfield visited VCU the wekend of January 2nd when the Rams took on George Mason. He also considered Texas A&M, Iowa State, Kansas State, Tulsa and Tulane.

Crowfield, a 6-foot-4 guard, gives VCU a major long threat from long distance. The Reserve (La.) Riverside Academy standout recently knocked down eight threes in a game.

With the addition of Crowfield, VCU has quite the backcourt headed to campus. He joins four-star prospect and talented athlete De'Riante Jenkins and 6-foot-5 wing Marquel Fraser to make up their current 2016 recruiting class.
