Guard David Beatty impressed a the Primetime Shootout

David Beatty continued his very strong season on night one at the Primetime Shootout

One of the players in the 2017 class who has had a very good year is David Beatty. Beatty is a versatile perimeter prospects who might not fit the mold of a traditional point guard, shooting guard, or small forward, but he does a lot of things well at was impressive at the Primetime Shootout.

Going against Huntington Prep it was obviously going to be a great challenge for Beatty. At 6-foot-3 Beatty would face the challenge of tough and athletic guards, and he continued where he has left off all season and really showed how impressive he is a player.

Beatty finished with 18 points and did it in a variety of ways. He scored going to the rim, he hit from three, and also hit in the mid-range. On top of that Beatty is a very tough player who brings that Philadelphia basketball mindset to the court every single time.

Now at St. Benedict’s he has really stepped up his game and high-major schools are beginning to make him a major priority recruit.

At this point Beatty isn’t super focused on his recruitment, but he did note that Georgetown is showing him a significant amount of attention. The Hoyas are looking to bring in a big 2017 class, and guards are going to be very important. Beatty appears to be a major focus right now for the Hoyas.

Along with Georgetown he mentioned Villanova, Arizona State, and Arizona as the schools really calling him a lot right now.
