Kodye Pugh commits to Stanford, reclassifies to 2016

Johnny Dawkins and Stanford had a good Monday, as they added their second pledge of the 2016 recruiting class.

A pair of decisions are in for Blairstown (N.J.) Blair Academy standout Kodye Pugh.

Pugh, a 6-foot-7 long, lanky wing prospect, verbally committed to Johnny Dawkins and Stanford late Monday evening, he told Scout.

"There's no one reason that made me want to pick Stanford," Pugh said. "It was the fact that I couldn't find a reason why not to pick Stanford."

Originally a member of the 2017 recruiting class, Pugh also informed Scout that he has opted to reclassify to 2016.

With the addition of Pugh, who was regarded as a four-star prospect and ranked No. 75 in overall in 2017, Stanford now has a pair of pledges in their 2016 class. Pugh joins four-star center Trevor Stanback to make up their current class.
