Five standing out for Top 100 PF Tyler Polley

Scout's 82nd ranked prospect in 2017, Tyler Polley has several schools he's seriously considering. The four-star power forward discusses the latest with his recruitment.

An impressive of junior season for Weston (Fla.) Sagemont forward Tyler Polley has helped the four-star prospect’s recruitment.

Polley, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound four man is Scout’s 82nd ranked prospect in the 2017 class.

“I think I played really well,” Polley said. “I think I had a great season even if we didn’t accomplish what we wanted to. I think I played pretty well. I thought I did a good job being the guy the team needed when we needed a bucket.”

In December, Polley listed Florida State, Georgia and UAB as his favorites and a couple of other programs have joined that list.

“UAB, Florida State hasn’t offered me but they still stand out to me, Georgetown, USC and Georgia,” Polley named, before discussing what he likes about each of those schools.

Florida State: “I’ve liked Florida State since I was a little kid. My dad played football for Florida State. I’ve always loved them. Their coaches are cool and the program is good, I just love Florida State.”

Georgetown: “The coaches started talking to me recently and my friend Tyler Foster is committed there.”

Georgia: “The coaches are cool and I talk to one of the assistants a lot and I like that.”

UAB: “The head coach and assistants are very cool. They came down recently to see me and it’s a good program.”

USC: “The coach I talk to is very cool and always encouraging me and telling me how good I can be and how good the program is. Also, it’s California.”

Polley will enter the spring with an open mind.

“Hopefully I can play during EYBL season and get more coaches interested in me,” he said. “I want to build up my name. I have no clue where I’m going yet; I’m open to more colleges.

“I’d like a program that fits my style of play, great coaches and college area. I’m willing to go further from home if I have to.”
