Eric Vila, of FC Barcelona in Spain, is currently taking college visits, he told Scout.
Vila arrived in College Station to visit Texas A&M on Monday. His visit ran through Tuesday and is slated to visit Missouri on Wednesday and Thursday. Vila's last scheduled visit for Wake Forest. The 2016 prospect will be in Winston-Salem on Friday and Saturday.
A 6-foot-9 power forward, Vila sees himself as a versatile prospect with a high-skill level.
“I can play multiple positions,” he told Scout recently. “I can pass. I can shoot. That’s a real strength that I have."
Vila has an offer to stay in Spain and play professional ball. He's looking to decide between that and coming to the United State for college.
"But I wanted to visit to learn and see how it is to help me in my decision," he said. "I have to decide."
Vila told Scout he doesn't have a timetable on making his decision, as he's focused on his current season, which ends in early May.
Vila played for Spain in the 2014 FIBA U16 European Championships and in the 2015 FIBA U18 European Championships. In nine games of action in the U18’s this past summer, Vila averaged 3.4 points and 2.9 rebounds.
