Grunfeld Focusing In On Decision

Dan Grunfeld, a swingman from Glendale (WI) Nicollet, says that he's seen all of the colleges he needs to see in order to make a decision. Grunfeld is considering four schools but it's likely a winner emerges from a pair of high-major programs.

Stanford, Wisconsin Have The Edge

Senior SG Dan Grunfeld, a star with the Friends of Hoop AAU program, could be nearing a decision. Grunfeld recently returned from an official visit to Stanford. As it stands right now, he's looking at four schools with a keen eye on two of them.

Stanford and Wisconsin are the two likely schools from which a winner will emerge. However, Grunfeld is not discounting Princeton and Penn. "Stanford and Wisconsin [are the leaders] but I really like Princeton and Penn," Grunfeld said. "The basketball they say isn't as good, but they both have great reputations so it's hard not to consider them. I think I have a pretty good feel on all the places. I want to have as much information as I possibly can to make a good decision. I think it's a whole process and now I've seen all the places, I have the information."

Grunfeld is in no rush to decide, but it wouldn't come as a surprise to see him make a decision sometime in the next two weeks.

Dan's father Ernie is the General Manager of the Milwaukee Bucks, so he's got a great outlet to have his questions answered. "Obviously, we talk about it a lot but he puts no pressure on me whatsoever. They are supportive and want what's best for me."
