Clark: ISU Gets "Strong Consideration"

Last week, word started to spread that Rahshon Clark had committed to Iowa State. Well, while the Cyclones are in great position, it's just a little early to call him committed.

After speaking to Long Island Panthers small forward Rahshon Clark, it's clear he's got an affinity for Iowa State.

"We spoke a lot," Clark said. "[The staff is] like family. They're from where I'm from. It's just a strong connection."

A very strong connection. But, is he actually committed? "It's like a strong consideration. My feelings are strong to come there."

Basically, the equation is a simple one. Clark wants to commit to the Cyclones but he's got to see the campus. Within the next two weeks, there's a chance that he and his mother could make an unofficial visit to Ames. Provided all goes well on the visit, Wayne Morgan's program would be in great shape to make it official.

What if Iowa State called now? How would he characterize the situation? "I'd tell [Iowa State] I want to be there but I just want to visit before I do anything."

Clark said that he's also hearing from Richmond, Kent State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and St. John's.
