Markus Howard announced a couple big decisions on Sunday.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound point guard from Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep has committed to Marquette.
Not only did Howard decide to commit to the Golden Eagles, but he’ll depart from Findlay a year early, reclassifying to 2016 to make the pledge.
Howard is currently Scout’s 50th ranked prospect in 2017 but will land in 2016’s final rankings when those are updated in the coming weeks.
In Howard, Marquette is getting a combo guard who can really shoot it and plays tough on the ball defense.
“Marquette is getting one of the best shooters in the country,” said Findlay Prep head coach Andy Johnson. “Markus can really score the basketball…
“In addition to Marquette getting a very good player who lives in the gym, Marquette is also getting a great student and a terrific person.”
