"Honestly it was just the best situation for me," Rakocevic said. "I think that the people there and the coaching staff really love me and I really love them. When I was on the official visit, I knew it was the place for me."
"Coach Enfield has a plan for me," he added. "I'm just excited."
Rakocevic, a standout at Westchester (Ill.) St. Joseph, had narrowed his list of choices down to USC, UNLV, Arizona State and Florida. Rakocevic visited the Trojans this past weekend.
When did Rakocevic know USC was the place for him?
"I knew it when coach laid out the entire plan for me," he said. "I knew it right then and there that was the spot. I had to double check with my family about it and they loved it as much as I did and that everyone was on board."
"His plan is to develop me my freshman year," Rakocevic added. "It's going to be a lot in the developmental process, but I'm going to be playing. My sophomore year I"m going to be one the guys to step up and be one of their main big guys."
Rakocevic is the fourth 2016 recruit to commit to Enfield and the Trojans. He joins four-star prospects Jonah Mathews and De'Anthony Melton, as well as big man Harrison Henderson.
