Four-Star Deajon Davis backs off Washington pledge

Top 50 guard Daejon Davis decommitted from Lorenzo Romar and Washington.

2017 guard Daejon Davis backed off his early pledge to Washington on Friday, just prior to the start of the April Evaluation period.

Davis, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Seattle (Wash.) Garfield, informed Scout of his decision.

"Honestly, I just havent felt the same about it and I never looked at other options, so I just decided that I'd at least look around and find my most fitting college to attend which could still very well be UW," Davis told Scout.

At this point, Davis doesn't have a list of schools he would like to hear from.

"No I just wanna play my game and see who comes," he said.

Davis is ranked No. 40 overall and will be playing with the Seattle Rotary travel team program on the EYBL circuit this spring and summer.
