One of the best teams on the adidas Gauntlet is Game Elite, and their athletic and tough wings lead the way. One of those players is Elias Harden. The 2017 wing had a good showing in Duncanville, and is already seeing his recruitment expand.
“I am trying to get better each and every day,” said Harden. “I am just trying to show everybody I’m a good guard who can play at a high level.”
He continued, “I am working to get more athletic. My shot is there, so I am focusing on improving my strength and athleticism.”
On the recruiting trail several of the top schools in the south are already making Harden a priority.
“I have been talking to Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, UAB, and a few others like Cincinnati and North Florida,” said Harden.
During the season Harden made a trip down to Gainesville to see the Florida Gators, and he came away impressed.
“Florida is a great school for guards,” said Harden. “I took a visit there in December and that was real good. It was fun and I liked the facilities.”
One of Florida’s SEC rivals, Georgia, should be getting a visit from Harden in the not too distant future.
“I plan on going to Georgia soon,” said Harden. “I have been talking to Coach Hayes and Coach Fox a lot.”
He continued about the Bulldogs, “Georgia lets their guards play. They want their guards to shoot and attack, and I feel like I would fit in there.”
For now Harden is just trying to take his time with his decision and is focused on building strong relationships with all of the coaching staffs recruiting him.
