Florida leads for emerging 2018 SF Nassir Little

Nassir Little had an impressive showing at the UA Association. The 2018 Florida small forward favors a local program.

This weekend at the UnderArmour Association, one of the more impressive 2018 prospects came from Showtime Hoops in Nassir Little.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound small forward from Orange Park (Fla.) has long arms, is a plus athlete, can guard multiple positions and showed the ability to face the basket or score inside.

“I’m pretty skilled shooting from the midrange area,” Little said. “I can step out and hit threes. I like to get out in transition because I’m athletic and long. I love playing defense. I’m working on my ball handling and shooting from range.”

Little holds offers from Florida, Florida State, George Washington, Louisville, Miami, North Florida, Stetson, UCF and USC, with one of those programs standing out.

“Mainly Florida because they’re really close to home so it’s easier to take visits,” Little said. “I’m really close with their coaches, it’s a nice environment and I like their gym and players. I like it there.”

As of now, Little isn’t in a rush to make a decision.

“I’m only 16 so I’m still young,” he said. “I want to up my recruitment first and then I’ll make a decision.”

Style of play will be important for Little as he goes through the recruiting process.

“I’m looking for a team that will let me get out in transition and play my true position on the wing and play hard on defense,” Little said.
