William McDowell-White commits to Fresno State

Rodney Terry and Fresno State picked up a pledge from five-star point guard William McDowell-White

Australian guard William McDowell-White verbally committed to Rodney Terry and Fresno State on Wednesday, a source informed scout.

McDowell-White was pursued by a host of high major schools and took official visits to Texas A&M and Arizona State, as well as Fresno State.

McDowell-White is an intriguing point guard prospect. He has very good size for the position at 6-foot-5 and is a very good passer with an impressive feel for the game.

The Aussie recently participated in the Nike Hoop Summit, playing for the World Team. He was also selected to play in the Basketball Without Borders event in unison with NBA All-Star weekend.

McDowell-White's older brother -- Darryl -- is also a Fresno State pledge.

McDowell-White is regarded as five-star prospect on Scout.
