Four-star forward Alex Reese had a strong showing on the opening night of the second evaluation period at the adidas Gauntlet series, which was held at the Suwanee Sports Academy.
Reese, a 6-foot-8 power forward, scored 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting, while also knocking in one of his two three-point attempts. He also added eight rebounds and five blocks.
A priority recruit for schools in the south, Reese showed good mobility, quality athleticism and terrific hands and touch. He was active, finished plays in transition and caught a pair of lobs in the half court.
Avery Johnson, Rob Ehsan, Mick Cronin, Bruce Weber and Andy Kennedy were among the head coaches that watched Reese on Friday.
Reese told Scout that he's built the best relationships with Johnson and Bruce Pearl.
