Louisiana native Josh Anderson is someone who looks like he has made significant strides over the past year. Anderson is taller, more athletic, and better with the dribble than ever, and now more and more schools are coming in to his recruitment.
“It has been a good spring,” said Anderson. “I am working to get more consistent with my jump shot. Also I have focused on being a better defender, and just a more complete player.”
On the recruiting side of things Anderson is someone who is seeing new programs looking to get into the mix.
“Florida, North Carolina State, TCU, LSU, and Texas have been main the schools I’ve seen and been hearing from,” he explained.
North Carolina State dispatched multiple coaches to see Anderson during the Under Armour Association. Head Coach Mark Gottfried and assistant Butch Pierre were at numerous games, and the Wolfpack are now turning up the heat in this recruitment.
“We just started talking,” Anderson explained of NC State. “I am just getting to know the coaches, but I know they have a great program.”
Another school that is bound to get a long look is LSU. The Tigers do well in their home-state, and Anderson is able to get over to campus whenever he wants with it being so close to his home.
“It is a good relationship,” said Anderson of LSU. “LSU is my hometown school and the coaches are good guys.”
For now there is no specific timeframe on when Anderson will make a decision, but he does know what he will be looking for in a school.
“Playing time my freshman year is important, and just finding the right fit on and off the court,” noted Anderson.
