Alpha Diallo commits to Providence

Alpha Diallo selected Providence over Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

2016 wing Alpha Diallo verbally committed to Providence on Tuesday, according to Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith.

"It just felt like the relation with the coahces was there," Diallo told Scout. "Just feel wise and just that connection I've had with the coaches and the team and the sitaution that they have. I believe in what they are going to do for me."

Diallo, a 6-foot-5 wing that is originally from Colorado, also strongly considered Oklahoma State. He took official visits to both schools.

"Yesterday night I spoke to my family and I had a lengthy talk to and I just went from there," he said.

"It had a family feel," Diallo added about Providence. "I just felt like it was the right thing to do. I felt like it was a good place to go in and improve."

Diallo joins Virginia native Maliek White as well as junior college power forward Emmitt Holt to make up their current three-man recruiting class.
