Brachen Hazen is headed to the SEC

Arkansas has dipped into the state of Indiana and nabbed a versatile forward with shooting range.

Typically Mike Anderson and Arkansas like to focus on long athletes with versatility that fit into their system. However they also know the need for shooting, and that is exactly what the Hawgs are adding in Brachen Hazen who committed on Tuesday night.

Hazen, who is checks in at 6-foot-7, has the ability to make shots from deep, and also understands his role and how to play. Initially Hazen committed to UCF, but he re-opened his recruitment following the coaching change in Orlando. Now Hazen feels he has found the right place in Fayetteville.

"I committed because of the great people and facilities," said Hazen. "Also I like the surroundings of the University and the people around the community."

Hazen is a three-star prospect who had a solid season as a senior before re-opening his recruitment. He also considered Vanderbilt and Ball State before issuing his commitment to Arkansas
