Kindred Has More than One Decision

The muscular, athletic point guard, Keion Kindred, is not only deciding what college he'll attend next year but what high school he'll attend this year...

Keion Kindred, 6-3 PG, Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, not only is trying to decide what college he'll attend next year, but what high school he'll atttend next week.

Kindred has been rumored to be transferring from Dominguez and, when we spoke to him, he confirmed that he's considering leaving Dominguez. His former coach, Russell Otis, is still a candidate for the head coaching job at Lynwood High and Kindred said that, if Otis gets the job, he'd follow him to Lynwood. Kindred also is considering transferring to Crenshaw. He said that the restrictions are that he has until September 19th to decide.

On the college recruiting front, Kindred rattled off a number of schools he's interested in. "UTEP, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Oregon, Tulsa, SMU, Providence, Temple, and ASU," Kindred said. "I'm most interest in Michigan State, but they've only been recruiting me a little."

Kindred has been offered by UTEP, Minnesota, SMU, and Tulsa, but he said Temple, Providence and Georgia Tech have said they could offer soon.

Kindred had in-home visits set up with UTEP for Monday and Minnesota for Tuesday, and also was scheduled to go on an official visit to UTEP starting yesterday, Thursday (More than likely, those visits were postponed, though).

Kindred said he'll more than likely visit Providence and Temple, and would also like to visit Georgia Tech and Michigan State.
